Authy is a two-factor authentication service for mobile devices and computers. It is mainly used as a smartphone application that pairs with your online accounts. Once connected, Authy sends an SMS message containing a 6-digit code to your Android or iOS device. That code is then used in the login process as an extra verification step for applications like Twitch or Discord.
Authy was purchased by Twilio in 2015 and is one of the leading two-factor authentication solutions on the market.
