Aewm is a window manager for the X Window System. It can be installed on Linux, BSD, or any other Unix-like operating system that uses X. It is a good option when trying to achieve the highest possible interface performance, especially on older computer hardware.
Aewm features
Aewm uses a very minimal design, offering no GUI other than the frames around application windows. There is no panel, dock, or system tray, although it allows hotkey definitions, multiple desktops, and the configuring of a background image using third-party programs.
