Released on December 8, 2009, AdBlock is an extension for all of the major web browsers. Its purpose, as the name would suggest, is to block unwanted advertisements, effectively keeping them from being displayed to users on the websites they visit. Adblockers do not remove or delete ads. The adblock software blocks them on your browser.
