When describing a supercomputer, IBM Watson is a cognitive supercomputer developed by IBM that answers questions posed in natural language. The project team was initially led by David Ferrucci with the intention of being able to answer questions on the quiz show Jeopardy. In 2011, Watson competed on Jeopardy! and won first place against Brad Rutter and Ken Jennings.
