Often abbreviated as RT, retweet is a term that describes mentioning another user’s tweet on Twitter. For example, if you read a tweet you enjoyed or think your followers might enjoy, you can hover over the tweet and click the “Retweet” link to share it under your username. A retweeted tweet begins with RT @originaluser, where @originaluser is the name of the author of the original tweet.
