A page break or hard page break is a code inserted by a software program (e.g., word processor) telling the printer where to end the current page and begin the next. After inserting the Page Break, a symbol indicating the Page Break is shown, and the cursor is placed on the next page.

In Microsoft Word, you can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Enter to insert a page break.
If your printer is starting a new page or printing blank pages where it shouldn’t, page breaks may be in the document. To verify the document contains no hidden page breaks, enable formatting marks.
