A nerd is an individual who is obsessed with science, math, or technology and commonly possesses little or no social skills. They are often depicted wearing thick-rimmed, taped glasses like those shown to the right. While nerds share some similarities, geeks and hackers contain alternate definitions.
How do I become a nerd?
A nerd would not know they’re a nerd. If you want to become someone who knows a lot about a particular topic (e.g., computers), you most likely want to be a geek and not a nerd.
