In computer programming, a library refers to a collection of files, programs, routines, scripts, or functions that can be referenced in the programming code. These libraries are more complex than routines, optimized, and may even be designed by the same programmers behind the programming language.
In Windows 7, there are 5 default Libraries. Documents, Music, Pictures, and Videos. They contain links to each of these libraries for the user to have easy access to the contents of each library.
When referring to data storage, a library refers to any managed collection of storage devices, often a collection of removable storage.
