Level may refer to any of the following:
- Sometimes abbreviated as LVL, level describes the overall status of a player. For example, in games that use level as a ranking method, all players start at level 1. As the player gains experience, they level up, acquiring new abilities and access to new content. The picture is an example of a player leveling up in the World of Warcraft online game.
How do I level up?
All games and services that have levels increase levels by gaining experience. Experience is gained by winning competitions, discovering new areas, killing creatures, completing quests, etc. Generally speaking, as you progress in getting higher levels, it becomes harder to gain the next level because it requires more experience than past levels.
In MMO games, characters and creatures are primarily defined by their name, level, and class.
- A level is an area in a game with specific challenges and creatures (mob). As the player beats levels, other levels are unlocked, allowing the player to progress further into the game. By breaking a game into levels, the player can encounter increasing difficulty and challenges as they become better at playing the game and their character gets stronger.
