A founder may refer to any of the following:
A founder is a person who starts a new company; often becoming the CEO or is on the board of directors. For example, one of the founders of Microsoft was Bill Gates.
Less commonly, a founder can be the creator and developer of a software program. If the software program becomes part of a software suite, the developer can be considered the founder of the suite.
