A form may refer to any of the following:

  1. Generally speaking, form describes the shape of an object.

  2. Not to be confused with a forum, an e-form, form, or web form is a web page or paper containing questions or form fields asking for user input. An example of a web page form is our technical support form, with fields to fill out to ask Computer Hope a computer-related question.

  3. When referring to HTML, the

    tag is used to create an interactive section on a web page that allows visitors to submit information to a web server.

Press the Tab to switch between each of the fields in an online form on a computer.

When selecting a drop-down menu item, press a letter once on the keyboard to move to the first word starting with that letter. For example, in a list of states, you could press U to select Utah.
