Also known as a square wave or clock signal, a digital signal is a transmission current where information is perceived as a string of impulses. A computer interprets these impulses as binary or a string 0’s (zeros) and 1’s (ones). For example, a low pulse or no pulse represents a “0” and a high or pulse indicates a “1”.
