- Start by turning the device port side up.
- With the plastic opening tool, pry along the edges of the case.
- When you hear the case snap-out of its fitted grooves, slowly slide the board assembly out of the case.

- Gently pull the three pronged, clear plastic piece from the rubber holder.

- Unscrew the two screws from the motherboard.

- Remove all the rubber pieces from the four corners to unhinge the motherboard.

- Remove the motherboard.
- Set aside in a safe anti-static location.

- Grab the mini USB port and align it with the appropriate metal docks on the motherboard.

- Soldering irons can get HOT! Do not touch the iron tip, make sure it cools down for a good 30 minutes before touching the tip.
- Start heating up the Soldering Iron, may take about 10–15 mins.

- Solder together the four corners of the mini USB to the appropriate metal pieces on the motherboard.
- Make sure the USB is firmly attached to the motherboard.
