              Unplugging Shure SM58 XLR Cable               
  • Hold the microphone in one hand.
  • Depress the button on XLR cable with the other hand.

  • Pull the XLR cable out.
  • If XLR won’t detach or microphone connector comes out with cable, see XLR Cable Guide.

To attach the cable to the microphone, line up the holes in the cable with the three pins in the microphone base. Then push the cable into the base of the microphone until you hear a click.
