Ear Cushion
- Insert a flat metal object (such as iFixit’s Jimmy tool) between the green and black plastic portions of the headset.
- When working with electronics, it’s important to choose a tool that’s ESD-safe to avoid accidental damage to the device. The regular black nylon spudger or a plastic opening tool should be used whenever possible.

Step 2
- Carefully pry the plastic pieces apart, working your way around the ear cushion.
- Be sure not to break the tabs on the back side of the ear pad!

- Pull the loosened ear pad apart from the rest of the speaker.
- Pushing the pad and the speaker back together is the only step required for ear pad reassembly.

Speaker Cone
- Remove four 7.3mm PH0 screws.
- As these screws are very small, it may be best to keep them in a plastic bag or other container.

- Lift speaker cone off of the back casing.
- Be gentle; the small wires connecting the speaker cone to the rest of the device may break if you pull too hard.
- Follow iFixit’s soldering guide to remove the wires connected to the speaker.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
