There is an easy way to troubleshoot several common issues in Windows 7.

  • Open the Control Panel
  • Under System and Security, click Find and fix problems. In the available option you can select Programs, Hardware and Sound, Network and Internet, Appearance and Personalization, and System and Security. Just pick the one that closely describes your issue, and the troubleshoot wizard opens and guides you through the rest of the process.
