The speakers on your Samsung Chromebook Plus don’t produce any audio
Have you checked whether or not your sound configuration is set to mute? If you look on the lower right hand portion of your screen, you should find a series of icons. On the far right, there should be your account icon or picture. A window will appear that displays information about your Chromebook Plus, and you can check to see if the Chromebook Plus is on mute or not. If it is, click the speaker icon which will bring the Samsung Chromebook Plus off of its muted setting.
Take your headphone jack out of your audio jack and check to be sure the audio jack is not loose. If the audio jack is not loose, then you can close the lid on your Samsung Chromebook Plus for approximately ten seconds and plug your headphones back in. Open the lid on your Chromebook and enter your Google account sign-in if prompted. The Samsung Chromebook Plus should search for audio devices and should find your headphones in its new scan.
If your Samsung Chromebook Plus still does not produce any sound after removing it from its mute function, another fix is to reset it, especially if you are using any Bluetooth devices. It is recommended that you save any information you do not want to lose, as this will reset your Chromebook Plus to its factory settings. There are two ways to reset your Chromebook, the first is to go into your settings and click on the option that says “Show Advanced Settings ” this will bring you to a screen containing the option to “Powerwash” your Samsung Chromebook Plus. This will reset your device back to its factory settings and you will have to re-enter your Google account information. Try playing music after the Chromebook Plus reboots to test this fix.
