Tablet is not showing the Wi-Fi symbol or will not let you use internet-related applications.

Ensure that Wi-Fi is turned on within the settings. If Wi-Fi will still not turn on then reset the tablet and attempt to connect again.

Please make sure that the device is in a strong Wi-Fi area. Sometimes this means being within 50 feet of the wireless router.

Ensure that the appropriate Wi-Fi password is being entered. Also attempt resetting your wireless router or modem while searching for the wireless connection with your tablet.

If you are experiencing router and/or modem issues at home and they cannot be solved by doing a reset then we recommend calling your service provider to see if they can repair it.

The tablet’s screen is unresponsive on a page and will not let you hit any buttons or it turned black.

Your screen may become unresponsive due to a low battery. Try attaching the tablet to the charger to see if it becomes responsive again.

All technical devices can potentially glitch, causing the software to malfunction. If your screen becomes unresponsive, try a hard reset of the device, restoring it to factory settings. Before attempting a factory reset you may want to backup your device.

WARNING: Factory resets may erase all data on the device depending on which option you choose.

To perform a factory reset:

  1. Hold either the + or - volume button and the power button at the same time until the screen goes black.

  2. Let go of ONLY the power button until the Android logo appears.

  3. Let go of the volume button and decide which option you want to perform (Wipe Data or Factory Reset).

  4. Use the + and - volume buttons to scroll between the options and the power button to select one.

  5. The tablet should say “Reset Now”. Hit the power button again and wait until the reset is done.

As a touch screen device, it is important to keep the tablet clean. A simple wipe down with a clean cloth should suffice. Ensure users’ fingers are not dirty when using the tablet to prevent this issue.

LCD displays emit heat against the touch screen surface when in use. High usage of the tablet may cause an excessive amount of heat to build up on the touch screen, causing the screen to not respond. Attempt to turn off the tablet and letting it cool down, then try to use the tablet again.

The tablet will not let you open or use a certain file.

Make sure you are using a supported operating system. These include: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Mac OS 10.4 or later.

Make sure you are using a supported audio file format. These include: MP3, WMA (non encrypted), MP2, OGG, M4A, MA4, FLAC, 3GP, and WAV. If you are not using one of these formats, try to convert the file to one of the supported formats.

Make sure you are using a supported video format. These include: AVI (H.264, DIVX, XVID), RM, RMVB, MKV (H.264, DIVX, XVID), WMV, MP4 (H.264, MPEG, DIVX, XVID), MPEG, MPG, FLV (H.263, H.264), and HD 1080P max. If you are not using one of these formats, try to convert the file to one of the supported formats.

Make sure you are using one of the supported image formats. These include: JPG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, and PNG. If you are not using one of these formats, try to convert the file to one of the supported formats.

The tablet does not respond to charging, dies unless plugged in, or dies quickly.

Make sure to check the outlet that the tablet is charging on. If the electrical outlet is not properly pulling electricity then it will be unable to charge your tablet.

Check the power cord to make sure it does not have any cuts or tears. This could hinder the pull of electricity through the cord. Just because outside tears are not seen, does not mean that it is not a faulty power cord. There could be tears inside the chord, as well. If your power cord is faulty it will need to be replaced.

Over time, it is possible for a battery to go bad and no longer hold a charge. This can be checked by connecting a charger to the tablet. If the battery responds to the charging but dies when the charger is removed, then this is most likely caused by a bad battery which will need to be replaced.

Overcharging the tablet can cause your battery life to shorten. If a battery is charged too often, it will cause the battery to require frequent charging. If your battery requires frequent charging you may want to consider battery replacement.

When a tablet is in use, it drains the battery faster due to computer processing information used to run apps. Having too many apps open at one time can quickly drain your battery and make it seem as though it won’t hold a charge. Attempt to close all apps and or programs and see if it improves performance.

Camera will not open or is having problems taking pictures.

One of the main reasons why the camera application will not open when you attempt to open it is because your battery may be too low. The camera requires a certain amount of power to run, and if the battery is low it may not be getting enough power. Charge your tablet and the camera should begin working properly again.

If your pictures are blurry or dark, you may simply have a dirty lens. Clean dirt or smears off of the lens by gently wiping it with a clean, soft cloth.

If your camera is refusing to take photographs, your storage may be at full capacity. Be sure to check and see if your storage is full. You should be able to find this information in the settings. The Trio Stealth G4 only has 8GB of storage. If your storage is full, but you do not wish to delete anything, this device does feature a MicroSD card slot that you can use to add additional storage for the device.

If your camera is unresponsive and will not take photographs, the camera might be damaged. If this is the case, the camera will need to be replaced.
