The more apps you have open and running, the slower the device will run. Enter the application settings to disable or “kill” applications to free up processor and memory resources.

Sometimes restarting the device is necessary. Turn the device off, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on using the power button. It may be necessary to hold the power button down for several seconds.

Battery does not maintain charge for long periods of time.

Certain settings can improve battery life. Consider the following suggestions:

  • Turn the Wi-Fi off when you are not connected to a network or when you do not need internet access.Reduce the brightness level on the screen.Utilize power saving modes whenever possible.

Perhaps the best solution to a reduced battery life is to replace the battery.

While short battery life is only “fixable” by replacing the battery, there are several preventative measures that can be taken in order to help maintain battery capacity. Consider the following:

  • Maintain proper operation of the battery (e.g., not overcharging, crushing, puncturing, and keeping the device free of excessive heat and moisture).Protect the device from exposure to temperatures above 140° F.Avoid usage of the device while it is charging.

Tablet is unable to access the internet; apps requiring internet connection do not work.

Double check that the Wi-Fi connection on your tablet is turned on by going into “settings” and finding the Wi-Fi setting. If it is not already on, then flip the switch to “on”.

Typically, a Wi-Fi connection requires a wireless hotspot. Some hotspots have privacy settings that only allow certain devices to access the connection. If the router is not yours and you cannot connect to it, you either need to obtain the password or router number. Otherwise, you will be unable to connect to the internet.

Make sure that you have the most up-to-date software. You can try to update the system by going into the device settings and checking for any pending updates. If you are unable to update the device, consider downloading a third party app that can do it for you. Be careful about which app you decide to use, as sometimes the updates from third parties may not be virus free.

Device is unable to connect with other devices through Bluetooth.

It is possible to accidentally turn off the Bluetooth connection on your tablet. To turn it back on, go into “settings”, navigate to the Bluetooth section, and flip the switch to “on”.

Make sure both the tablet and the device you are trying to connect to are in discoverable mode.

If you still cannot connect, delete your Bluetooth profile and to go Settings>Apps>All>Bluetooth>Clear Cache. Restart the device and make a new profile.
