Your Toshiba Satellite S55t-C5225 will not read any CD’s or DVD’s.

If your Toshiba Satellite S55t-C5225 optical drive does not read CD’s/DVD’s or open, then the optical drive may be damaged and needs to be replaced. Follow this replacement guide.

The Toshiba Satellite S55t-C5225 will lose battery power faster than normal.

If the battery does not fully charge when plugged into power adapter, power adapter may be faulty. Consider purchasing a new power adapter.

If laptop will crash or not operate properly, this may be symptom of not having the proper software installed. To upgrade your software start by opening  Windows Update by clicking the Start button in the lower left corner. In the search box, type Update, and then, in the list of results, click either Windows Update or Check for updates. Click the Check for Updates button and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer. If there is an update click Install and follow the on-screen instructions.

If the laptop will not open and run certain programs or applications, the RAM may need to be upgraded to have enough processing power. Follow this replacement guide.

Screen display is blurry, discolored, and sometimes does not respond to commands.

If laptop is freezing frequently, perform a hard reset of the laptop. To do this hold the power button down for 5 seconds until the laptop restarts.

If there are visible cracks in the screen this could affect the functionality of the screen if they are deep enough. Follow this replacement guide.

While playing a video or listening to music the speakers have no audio. The volume menu is responsive and shows volume level.

Test audio through the computer speakers, then test it using headphones. If the audio is only distorted while listening via headphones, the audio jack or the headphones themselves may be faulty or not properly inserted. Audio that cuts in and out is often a sign of a loose audio jack connection.
