Fan
- Before you begin, remove the battery pack from the laptop.
- Next, remove the screws labeled F8. These screws are the most common through the device and on the back.
- After you have removed the screws, place them to the side and lift up the panel. This will expose an aluminum, rectangular piece.

Step 2
- Gently press down on the aluminum device and push up to remove the panel.
- Next remove the two panels that are located to the top right of the compartment. Do this by pushing down on them, and pushing on the hooks that are located on the side.
- After you have removed all the objects, remove all screws in this compartment using a Phillips head screwdriver.

- Turn the laptop so the keyboard and screen are facing up. Once you do that, pry the keyboard open with a plastic spudger.
- Next, gently detach the laptop from the main frame. Be careful not to break the plastic that connects the keyboard to the laptop itself.
- Unscrew all the the screws labeled F8 as well as the 0.21 inch screws inside of the keyboard area.
Turn the laptop so the keyboard and screen are facing up. Once you do that, pry the keyboard open with a plastic spudger.
Next, gently detach the laptop from the main frame. Be careful not to break the plastic that connects the keyboard to the laptop itself.
Unscrew all the the screws labeled F8 as well as the 0.21 inch screws inside of the keyboard area.
Step 4
- Pry open the edges of the laptop using a plastic spudger.
- Remove the frame, exposing the motherboard and fan.

- Unscrew the circled screw to unhook the fan.
- Gently unplug the fan from the motherboard
- You can now replace or clean the fan. To reassemble, follow the steps in reverse order.
