Pressing the power button results in no effect
If the device is plugged in, and still will not turn on, check to make sure the light on the AC adapter is on. If the light is off, while the adapter should be receiving voltage ( both ends are plugged in) then the AC adapter needs to be replaced.
If the adapter’s indicator light is on, and the device will only turn on while it’s plugged in, or only initiates start-up ( fans whir and the power button lights up, with no screen activity) when it’s plugged in, then the battery is faulty. This can be solved with a replacement.

If the device is plugged in, the adapter is verified to be working, and the device still shows no sign of activity when the power button is pressed, the charging port on the laptop might be dirty or damaged. Visual inspection can generally clarify which of the two it is. If the port is dirty, clean it and try again. If the port is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
There is no sound coming from the device while playing audio.
First, check to make sure the speakers are not muted. If they are, press the unmute button located on the top touch bar of the laptop.
If the audio drivers are out of date or corrupted, the sound may also not work. To fix this issue, navigate to the Toshiba support website listed below, enter your device’s information, and get the most up-to-date version of the drivers
If the speakers are visibly broken or damaged, or you notice distorted sound playing instead of the correct audio, try cleaning the speakers with a q-tip and isopropyl alcohol, if the problem persists, your speakers may need to be replaced

The screen/display does not turn on or has dead pixels.
Sometimes, a screen flickering or a black screen will be caused by out-of-date graphics card drivers. To fix this, navigate to the Toshiba support website listed below, enter your device’s information, and get the most up-to-date version of the drivers.
If the graphics card of the laptop overheats, a black screen can result. To fix this problem, simply turn the laptop off and wait for it to cool down. If the laptop overheats frequently, you can try minimizing the number of background programs, either manually or with cleaning software, and if the problem persists, replace the fan.

The device crashes while completing small tasks, or the screen turns blue and then shuts down.
If the device has recently started crashing after a system update, there may have been trouble adapting to new software, which is most common when updating to Windows 10. To fix this problem (provided you are running the pre-installed Windows),

Crashing could also be caused by faulty or damaged RAM, faulty RAM may also cause blue screens and corruption in recently used files. To confirm that the device’s RAM is at fault, you can perform a Windows Memory Diagnostic, a pre-loaded program that can be found through the Windows Menu. If the RAM is revealed to be at fault, it will need to be replaced.

If the hard drive is still failing or remains unavailable when the computer is active, it may need to be replaced.
