Your laptop fails to power on.
If the laptop is plugged in and the charging light in not illuminated, first verify that the adapter is not at fault by attempting to charge the laptop with a charger that has been verified to work. If the laptop now charges, your charger could be at fault.
- Buy a new adapter
If you are able to verify your charger is not at fault, then the laptop’s charging port may be at fault.
- Replace the laptop’s DC power jack
If the laptop will not power on unless plugged in, the battery is likely at fault and will need to be replaced.
- Replace the battery with a new one.
Your computer fails to load the Operating System and takes you to an error message.
Your computer may run fine until you start doing work and notice performance is diminished, and tasks take longer to complete, or your computer occasionally freezes while doing certain tasks. This could be a sign of not enough RAM or faulty RAM. To fix this, replace the RAM you currently have in your computer.

Your laptop will inform you of a hard drive corruption or error, in such a case the drive may need to be repaired or replaced.

- Research pattern to find the issue
Your laptop’s lights come on, there is no beeping, peripherals are able to connect to your laptop, and you are able to connect to a secondary screen.
Ensure display has not been disabled accidentally by holding the windows key and then pressing the “P” key twice, this will take your laptop off projector mode. Also try simply restarting the device. If the black screen persists and there are no audible beeps, there may be a hardware issue and require a replacement screen.

Computer shuts down without notice while working.
Computer fans can be covered in dust resulting in inadequate airflow to cool the components within the computer. Fan can also break, requiring a replacement.
