- Make sure the laptop is unplugged and powered off.

- Slide the right latch to the right until you hear it lock into place.
- Slide the left latch to the left and hold it.

- Slide the battery out towards you.

Optical Disk Drive
- Remove the (mm) screw in between the two white manufacturer’s stickers using the Phillips #1 screwdriver.

- Gently slide the optical disk drive out of the computer.
