- As a safety precaution, unplug the laptop and remove the battery.

- Remove the two 3mm Phillips #0 screws on the bottom of the corner panel.
- The screws do not need to be removed completely from the panel, just loosened out of the sockets beneath the panel. When the screws are completely loosened, they can be left in the panel.

- Use the cutaway to lift the panel away from the lap top.

- Remove the single 3mm Phillips #0 screw securing the hard drive (hard drive not pictured).
- Once the screw is removed, push the hard drive up (away from the battery) to disconnect it from the laptop.
- You are now able to lift the hard drive out of the laptop.
