The Toshiba Satellite will not turn into a tablet and/or open an close.

Your Toshiba Satellite might have something stuck or jammed into the hinges. To fix this, use air pressure to clear the area where the item(s) is stuck.

Your Toshiba Satellite may have fallen or due to wear and tear it will no longer fold into a tablet form or open/close. To fix this, remove the current hinge(s) that is broken and replace it with a new one.

The Toshiba Satellite touch screen is not responding and/or is cracked and needs to be replaced.

Make sure in the settings the touch screen has been enabled under “Control Panel” and then under “Device Manager”.

If stopped responding suddenly, completely shut down computer and restart. It could be that the screen was frozen and needed to be booted again.

If screen is cracked and is affecting touch response, replace screen.

Your computer does not load the Operating System and instead takes you to an error message such as “no bootable device” or another sort of “disk error” message.

Toshiba Satellite has the latest BIOS rev available (v1.20) it does NOT have the ability to toggle to CSM mode. In order to fix the problem, you will have to manually change the settings in your computer to accept this boots or use Rufus to convert USB Sticks to UEFI Boot.

If you have pressed the F12 key and selected CDROM to boot from says “boot from CD/DVD”, but does not, you will need to manually change the settings in your computer to accept the boot.

Connecting to the internet or programs will not load, pages are unresponsive

The issue may be due to your computer or the actual WiFi, turn the computer on and off then disconnect from the WiFi completely by clicking the icon, then switching it off then back on. If that still does not work, check the WiFi icon bar to see how many bars or what symbol is indicated with the WiFi icon. Depending on the symbol presented with the WiFi icon there may be a need for further action.

If the is an “X” icon by or laying over the WiFi symbol then the WiFi itself is the issue and you should then contact your provider for the WiFi.

If there is a star on or surrounding the WiFi symbol then the issue is dealing with the WiFi card and your PC is not connected to WiFi. If the issues is dealing with the WiFi card you will then replace or dust off the WiFi card.
