Introduction
Laptop batteries typically have a lifespan of 2 to 4 years and will gradually lose their ability to hold a charge over time. An older laptop battery will not be able to power the laptop as long as it used to, and it may even lose its ability to charge overall. Additionally, if a battery has been damaged, it may become very hot when it charges and it should be replaced.
No special tools or prior knowledge are required for this replacement. Before beginning this guide, make sure to power off you laptop completely and disconnect it from any power sources.
