Step 1
Battery
- Unplug your computer, and make sure that it is shut off before starting.
- Flip over your laptop, making sure the battery is facing you.

- On the right side of the laptop, push the switch to the right, and let go.
- When replacing the battery, make sure the switch is to the right. After replacing it, push it back to the “locked” position.

- On the left side of the laptop, hold the switch to the left, and do not let go.
- With the switch held, gently pull the battery out of the laptop.
- When replacing the battery, you do not need to hold the left switch at all.

To replace the battery, gently insert it back into the laptop. Once it is secured, make sure both switches are in the “locked” position (pushed towards the battery).
