  • Using the Phillips Head #0 Screwdriver, remove one 3mm Phillips #0 screw as indicated.

  • Remove hard drive cover. Using the Phillips Head #0 Screwdriver, remove seven 3mm Phillips #0 screws as indicated.

  • Using the Phillips Head #0 Screwdriver, remove twelve 3mm Phillips #0 screw as indicated.

  • Using the plastic spudger, pry the back off along the periphery of the laptop.

              Fan/Heatsink Replacement               
  • Using the Phillips Head #0 Screwdriver, unscrew four 3mm Phillips #0 screws, on the silver plate under the copper tubing.

Step 8

  • Using the Phillips Head #0 Screwdriver, remove two 1.5mm Phillips #0 screw holding the fan down.

Step 9

  • After unscrewing, remove the heatsink from the laptop.

Step 10

  • Unplug connected wire to remove the fan as indicated. Both the heatsink and fan should be removed before replacement.
