Whilst using your device, the battery will not hold a charge even whilst plugged in.

If you believe that your current charging cable is the cause of the battery issue. First plug in the cable and then plug it into your device. If the charge light does not turn on, the adapter may be the cause. To fix said issue, consider purchasing a replacement adapter.

If the above possibility is not the case where the light on the adapter is on and the device only turns on with the adapter plugged in, then the battery may be faulty. To fix said issue, replace the battery with a newly purchased one whilst following this guide.

Your device randomly shuts off without warning and there is an intense heat felt following this..

If the main unit of the heatsink is in some way faulty, for example the fan on the unit does not spin. Before attempting to fix the issue, make sure the battery is removed from the device by unlocking its locks and removing it. To fix said issue, you must first gain access to the CPU. To do so, remove all the retaining screws on the underside of the device. Doing so will allow you to remove the entire underside plate. Following this, remove the retaining screws on the heat sink in order to remove it. After removing the old unit, place in the new, functioning unit into the designated area and seat it in with the screws required for it.

If the ventilation or fans of the device become filled with an excessive amount of dust or debris of some kind, the airflow becomes restricted leading to overheating. To fix said issue, remove the blockage from the vents and fans using either a can of compressed air held straight up or by some other method.

If there is an inadequate amount of thermal paste between the heatsink and processor then the transfer of heat will be very inefficient and poor. After removing the heat sink, clean off any old thermal paste on the it and processor. After doing so, apply a new bead of paste to the center of the processor. Proceed to gently push the heatsink back onto the processor and reseat the screws required for it.

Whilst using your device, it begins notifying you it is running out of storage or memory.

If the currently present hard drive is lacking in storage, replace the drive with a unit of higher capacity. Before attempting to fix the issue, make sure the battery is removed from the device by unlocking its locks and removing it. To fix said issue, remove the central cover on the underside of the device, this can be done by unscrewing the one retaining screw and then pulling it up and out. Following that, remove the current hard drive from the bay and replace it with the new unit. A secondary decision is to purchase another external storage device such as an external hard drive or flash drive.

If the currently present RAM is lacking in capacity, replace the currently present modules with higher capacity units. Before attempting to fix the issue, make sure the battery is removed from the device by unlocking its locks and removing it. To fix said issue, remove the central cover on the underside of the device, this can be done by unscrewing the one retaining screw and then pulling it up and out. Following that, if replacing the modules, press the silver notches on the sides of the currently inserted module and then slide it out. Insert the new module where the old one was. If you are adding a module, simply follow the step to remove the central plate and then insert the new module into the open RAM slot.

The keyboard keys on your device are unresponsive or one or many appear broken and in some manner.

If it more than a select set of keys are unresponsive, then the issue may be the entire unit which would need to be replaced. Before attempting to fix the issue, make sure the battery is removed from the device by unlocking its locks and removing it. To fix said issue, use a thin enough object in order to prop it between the keyboard and the area in which it is retained in. Once you are able to place the tool between the keyboard and area, trace along the perimeter of the keyboard until it begins to pop up and out. Once it seems to have popped out all the way, undo the ribbon cable attached to the underside of it. After the old keyboard is removed, attach the new one by first attaching its ribbon cable. Lastly, push along side the perimeter of the keyboard so that each press creates a clicking sound to signal that is in being locked in.

If keys are missing from the device’s keyboard, then it may require replacing the missing keys. To fix said issue, find a replacement set of keys designed for the laptop. Following this, take a replacement key and place it the correct position over its designated and press down. You will know the key is locked in by a clicking sound.

Your device has trouble connecting to a wireless network, either by frequently dropping the signal or by not being able to connect at all.

If your device is having intermittent wireless connectivity, then the internal wireless card may have a loose connection. Before attempting to fix the issue, make sure the battery is removed from the device by unlocking its locks and removing it. To fix said issue, you must first gain access to the wireless card. To do so, remove all the retaining screws on the underside of the device. Doing so will allow you to remove the entire underside plate. Following this, take the currently connected wire on the card and pop it off. After that, reseat the connection by pushing it back onto the piece you previously slotted it off of.

If the above possible issue not occurring and you cannot connect to the wireless network at all, then the card may have become defective at some point. Before attempting to fix the issue, make sure the battery is removed from the device by unlocking its locks and removing it. To fix said issue, you must first gain access to the wireless card. To do so, remove all the retaining screws on the underside of the device. Doing so will allow you to remove the entire underside plate. Following this, remove the retaining screws on the wireless card and pop it up and out of the slot. Take the currently attached wire and pop it off of the card so that it can now be placed unto the new card. Slide the new card into the open slot and screw it in with the available screws.
