Introduction
Step 1
Remove battery
- Save all of your work files. Optionally, make a backup of your hard drive.
- Switch off your computer. The ‘Power’ LED should be off.
- Disconnect all cables and peripheral devices from your computer.
- Close the notebook display and place the computer on a soft surface, bottom side turned upwards, just like in the image.
- Push the safety latch (left latch that’s marked in the photo) to its release position to the left. This will allow the release of the battery.
- Now push the battery release latch (right latch marked in the photo) to the right and hold the latch in this position. This way, you can remove the battery by pulling it backward from the computer.
