What you need

Step 1

              Before you start               
  • Unplug your air conditioner
  • The air conditioner needs to be accessible from all sides
  • Be careful not to touch the evaporator and condenser (front and back) radiators with bare hands! They are very sharp!

Step 2

              Take off filter cover and take out the dust filter               
  • Unclip the white filter cover
  • Fold the filter cover all the way out
  • Apply slight downward pressure to unclip the 4 arms holding the filter cover in place

              Take out the dust filter               
  • Take out the dust filter by bending it down past the two clips holding it in place

              Unscrew the front panel               
  • Unscrew the 2 screws holding the front panel in place
  • It won’t come off yet, don’t worry that is a later step

              Unscrew front screws               
  • Unscrew the two circled screws
  • Do not unscrew the bottom screws, they hold the base on

              Unscrew the top screws               
  • Unscrew the two marked screws
  • You do not need to unscrew the bar (marked in green)

              Unscrew the side screws               
  • Unscrew the 3 left and 3 right side screws

              Unclip front panel               
  • Slide a pry tool between the front and top panel, bending the front panel out and forwards until the front panel comes off

Step 9

              Take front panel off               
  • Front panel should now easily come off

              Take top panel off               
  • Top panel should now easily come off
  • Congratulations! You now have access to the internals to clean/repair/replace as you need.
