What you need

Step 1

              Battery               
  • Peel back the sticker on the bottom of the device to reveal the two screws.

  • Unscrew the two T5 Torx screws.

  • Wedge the flat head of the screwdriver into the edge of the device. Gently lift the screen from the cover.

  • Release the yellow ribbon cable.

  • Identify the green motherboard. Unscrew the three screws holding the board in place.

  • Remove the motherboard from the back plate.

  • Unplug the battery from the board.

  • Plug the new battery into the white receptacle on the green motherboard.

  • Transfer the green motherboard back into the back plate and secure it with the 3 screws.

  • Reconnect the yellow ribbon cable and connect the screen and back plate back together.

  • Insert the t-5 screws and tighten to secure.

  • Replace the label to cover the screws.

Very similar for the 4FL60 and 6000, except in :

Step 1 the screws are visible without removing any stickers

Step 4 hint: to release the ribbon, each end of the white bar has a self-sprung clip to ease away, try not to break them. And for the models above there is a small cable plug to unclip

Step 5 there are 5 screws holding the motherboard

Step 6 it is necessary to unclip plugs for the battery and speaker leads

and vice versa for reassembly
