- Unscrew the seven screws located on the back of the device.

- Slide the plastic opening tool along the edge of the device to separate the keyboard tray.

- Flip the device over and open it to lift the keyboard tray from the body of the device.

- Use the plastic opening tool to gently release the ribbon cable attached to the keyboard.
- You may now place the device off to the side. The rest of the repair takes place on the keyboard tray.

- Locate the Fingerprint Reader and metal frame on the left side of the keyboard tray.

- Unscrew the two silver screws to remove the metal frame.

- Remove the ribbon cable connected to the board.
- Remove and Replace the Fingerprint Reader board and metal frame.
- This connection does not have a lock, please pull the ribbon away from the board. Do not attempt to lift the connection.
