- Bend retention pins straight using a pair of large needle nose pliers.

- Unfasten the two mounting bolts using a 5mm Hex Key.
- Different bike models will have different mounting bolt configurations.

- Remove the brake calliper from the brake disc.

- Remove the retention pin.

- Remove the brake pads from the calliper.
- Make sure that no skin oils get on the brake pad’s rough brake surface (Doing so will affect brake performance).

- Place the spring on the new Tektro Disc Brake Pad as shown.
- The other brake pad will go on the spring opposite the first brake pad.

- Follow the steps listed previously on the front braking system as needed.
