What you need

              Brake Pad               
  • Bend retention pins straight using a pair of large needle nose pliers.

  • Unfasten the two mounting bolts using a 5mm Hex Key.
  • Different bike models will have different mounting bolt configurations.

  • Remove the brake calliper from the brake disc.

  • Remove the retention pin.

  • Remove the brake pads from the calliper.
  • Make sure that no skin oils get on the brake pad’s rough brake surface (Doing so will affect brake performance).

Step 6

  • Place the spring on the new Tektro Disc Brake Pad as shown.
  • The other brake pad will go on the spring opposite the first brake pad.

  • Follow the steps listed previously on the front braking system as needed.
