- Using a wrench, unscrew the hex nut and remove the steam wand.
- Note: Do not lose the hex nut once it is unscrewed.

- Using a thin tool or item, such as a paper clip, poke around through the holes on both ends of the wand to remove any foreign material.
- Place the steam wand in a de-calcifying solution as directed by product.
- Reconnect the steam wand.

To replace steam-wand seals (in case of water leaking out from the center of the steam-wand): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fulyy9A9… , but note - for parts: https://philips.encompass.com/model/SAER… (worth going to amazon.de and entering the partnumbers into the search box: e.g. the o-rings for the needle-valve (996530013462)
