- With the string clipper, clip the string under the neck of the guitar.

- Unwind the string from the machine head and remove it.

- With the string winder pop the string peg out of its hole.

- Put the peg in the hole with the string.
- Pull the string while pushing the pin in.

- Precut the other side of the string by one and a half machine heads.
