The Sony PlayStation Singstar microphones are not powering on when they are plugged in.

Make sure the converter is connected to the USB port on the PlayStation and that the PlayStation is turned on. Once the converter is connected properly to the PlayStation, make sure each audio jack is plugged into the coordinating color audio input (i.e. the red jack plugged into the red port).

The Sony PlayStation Singstar is not giving audio output to the connected television.

Make sure the Sony PlayStation audio cable in the backside of the device is connected properly to the PlayStation. Once the audio cable is connected properly to the PlayStation, make sure that the audio cable is also connected properly to the chosen television, monitor, or projector. (i.e. the red, white, and yellow RCA cables)

The Sony PlayStation Singstar is creating static noise through the speakers.

Make sure the audio jack is completely plugged into the corresponding outlet and that the cord is not twisted. If the static sound continues you will need to replace the auxiliary cord.

The microphones power on, but do not respond to vocals.

Make sure all the accessories to the device are plugged in and working properly. After you have plugged in everything, check for sound through the microphone. If there is no response, your microphone may inside the handle and need replacement.

The Sony PlayStation Singstar converter is not connecting to the PlayStation.

Make sure the converter is plugged into the PlayStation’s USB port. If the converter is still not responding then the converter is damaged and needs to be replaced.
