The Playstation Classic will not power on.

Ensure that correct USB cable, provided with system, is securely connected to correct port on the back of the gaming system. Connect USB port into AC adaptor (not included, must support 5 V, 1.0 A), then connect adaptor into electricity supply. Done correctly, after pressing the power button, the POWER indicator should produce a steady green light indicating the system is on.

If the system still does not flash a green light, the internal motherboard might be damaged due to water spillage or other unknown causes. If this is the case, the motherboard will need to be [invalid guide link].

Although the Playstation Classic is powered on, an image won’t display on screen.

Be sure to check that the HDMI cord is properly inserted into the back of the Playstation Classic. Connect other output of HDMI cord into the correct port in TV system. Ensure that your TV is switched to the correct input. An image should be portrayed once the HDMI is properly secured.

If the image is still not shown, there may be an issue with your display system. In this case, consult guides on that specific device.

The device’s power button is loose or jammed and won’t turn the system on.

If the power button on your system is jammed, you will need to [invalid guide link] the console in order to have access to its internal features. A cause to the jamming of this button could be due to a worn down or jammed spring. Note: The only required tools for this process will be a small screwdriver.

If the button is dented or shattered to the point where it is no longer functional, it will need to be [invalid guide link].

The Open button will not switch between games when pressed.

Similar to the power button, if this button is jammed, it will be necessary to [invalid guide link] of the console.

There might be an issue with the internal spring which makes the button pop up and down. It could be dislodged or worn down which would cause the button to remain unfunctional. In order to evaluate this, you will have to open up the device.

If the button is noticeably cracked, the Open button must be [invalid guide link].

The PlayStation is not responding to the controllers commands.

If your console is not responding to any of the controllers commands, it is likely due to a faulty controller cord. There is a chance that the cord became unplugged from the motherboard internally.

Sony uses USB to Micro USB cords that are about 5 feet in length for the PlayStation Classic controllers. Overtime and through wear and tear, these cords can become faulty. This cord will need to be [invalid guide link] by taking the controller apart, requiring a small screwdriver.
